How many times u dial bro. Single dose can take 18-20g. Which mean u have been dialled over 20 shots 😭

After you do 2-3 shots you’re probably at a point of diminishing returns so better off getting it as best you can and then just tweaking it every time after that. No point wasting good enough coffee to make it ever so slightly better.

With a new type of bean I always get more than 1 lb (454g), and have my baseline first shot. 18g in, ground 1 step coarser than my last successful shot (regardless of the bean), puck prep standard, no pre-infusion, strictly timing 36g out. I know my grinder pretty well, so my second shot is usually right on 25-35s. After that, I the espresso is more than acceptable, but I will tweak as needed and as the bag ages.

I use chatgpt put all the data. 2nd or 3rd time you will probabbly dial in. By data i mean grind number, time of extraction, in gram?, yield gram?, pressure of extraction, taste? Bitter? Sour?.

This is my frustration with the superauto machine I bought. I can only adjust in 1 step increments and I’m supposed to adjust while it’s grinding, then pour another shot to see how the new setting works out

Tips: check the density and the roasting profile first. If the density is high (hard to crush by your thumb) then you need to grind finer
