You people distort history that is very clear…… Ojukwu declared Biafra on 30 May 1967…… Gowon created Rivers state on 27 May 1967…… so rivers state was created with overwhelming igbo speaking population….. Adaka Boro yes was an activist in the region but has nothing to do with Rivers state…. It’s a civil war strategy to make a large igbo population not to fight for Biafra as they have a state already…….so today in Rivers state every available data shows igbo speaking people make up 80 to 85 percent…….

You are mistaking Rivers state for Old Rivers state. The Ijaw part of the old Rivers state is present day Bayelsa. No tribe owns a state if the state is heterogeneous. The Igboid groups such as Ikwerre,Ndoki,Egbema,Ndoni,Etche,Ogba, and ekpeye makes up the majority of rivers state and Ijaw is a minority.

That was the ijaw that comprised of Bayelsa state.. Later PH state was to be created but the considered it an Igbo state so Bayelsa was rather created .. indirectly creating PH state. The Ijaw in present day Rivers state rejected joining Bayelsa state..
