Still wading through my slow burn situation and honestly it’s been a steady building pace. I’ve been texting with intention rather than for attention and it’s changing not only how I’m viewed by others (probably) but definitely how I view myself. I’m anxious but I’m grounded. And I love me more, which shows.

I love your advice and it usually grounds me. But his silence for a few days after weeks of consistency coincided with a return of someone he dated back in the winter so which has me pretty sure this connection is on its last legs.

How do you see no texts on a day you were supposed to hear from them about plans? Is that not unkind to say yes/no on plans? Ie a first responder job where he is on call so the plans were tentatively set and then it’s silence for entire day (full 24 hours)

I had to binge watch your videos this weekend. After a 4 year hiatus I’m starting to date again. I know I’ve had issues with the communication thing in previous situationships. This weekend the guy I’ve only been on 2 dates with had plans, I started to spiral but I held strong and didn’t do the needy texting. Kept myself really busy and what do you know, he sent a text tonight with a whole update about his weekend. Just picked up where we left off. Thank you for helping me push through!

we won’t be meeting for weeks, he asked me to an event & i said i’ll let him know he said ok, i asked him something about the event & it’s been 4 days he hasn’t replied. i just hoped this would work, he’s a great guy

I made the mistake of talking about my relationship with someone, they immediately starting tell me that I was showing too much interest and if he really is interested in me he would text every day…. Guess what? I start spiraling and it got me into a bad cologne…. And guess what? I did therapy conversation and guess what? He really showed he was not interested…. Let some days passed readjust my cologne and not paying attention to those crapy “advices” and now we talk, no bad cologne and we went back to normal and him showing love
