THIS GUY IS USING HIS IGNORANCE TO DECEIVE MANY PEOPLE LET SCHOOL HIM ,In Mathew 5:22 which you quoted the word fool used there is moros in Greek and it used as a slur of dismissal rooted in hatred when the person has nor done anything wrong not daid anything that lead people astray and you call them fool If someone calls you a fool when you have done nothing foolish and said nothing that leads people astray, then yes, that person is under the judgment Jesus describes in Matthew 5:22. That is precisely what Jesus was talking about, contemptuous dismissal of an innocent person rooted in hatred and dehumanisation. On that we agree completely. But that is exactly why Matthew 23:17 is not a contradiction. The Pharisees were not innocent. They were leading thousands of people into spiritual destruction through corrupt religious reasoning. They were binding heavy burdens on people, shutting the kingdom of heaven against those trying to enter, and devouring widows houses while performing long prayers for appearance. Jesus was not firing a personal insult at innocent men. He was making a precise prophetic indictment of dangerous false teaching that was damaging real people. That is not the same category of speech Matthew 5:22 prohibits. The Old Testament prophets did the same thing under divine inspiration. Isaiah called Israel's leaders rulers of Sodom. Jeremiah called the priests and prophets corrupt to their core. God himself in Ezekiel 34 savaged the shepherds of Israel with language that would make your hair stand on end. None of that falls under Matthew 5:22 because prophetic confrontation of destructive false teaching is not the same as contemptuous hatred of an innocent person. So before you apply Matthew 5:22 to this conversation, you need to demonstrate that nothing you have argued leads people astray. That is the actual standard Jesus set. And that is a conversation worth having.
