You’ve just described me. And just last week- my entire family forgot my birthday. And I told my husband “I need to know I’m on your radar.” That hurt his feelings and he became the victim. I’m sad and exhausted.

I’ve stopped doing all the planning for my friends, and guess what? No one gets together any more. No girls nights. No girls weekends. No couples dinners out. Nothing. I got sick and tired of being the one who did EVERYTHING and no one else stepped in, and I am 100% ok with that. I’m happy and stressed free for the first time in a long time.

I've been THE caregiver since I was 9 years old. I was diagnosed with brain cancer last year. And I'm still expected to be THE caregiver. It's exhausting. For once, I want to be taken care of.
