How do you know the hot shot is enough water to sterilise the formula? Can’t find official guidance on hot shot method anywhere.

do you clean and sterilise the rapid cool everytime? i’m confused because it says can’t use it for 3 hours after sterilising x

I do this sometimes but you have to be careful as the milk is still a bit too hot when you mix all together as that was what was happening with mine and that’s with using the nuby to cool the water too

Since my baby was six months old we have been using Drbrowns formula jug. We prep our formula on the fridge and it’s sooooo much easier! Never had any issues either

just double check the scoop to water ratio,I have mam bottles too and I was doing one scoop of water to one scoop of formula,but when I actually read the formula box it's one scoop of formula per 30ml,which meant I was making the bottles with too much formula and my little boy was full of wind from it

I do this when I’m out and about as it’s easy and convenient, but I do half and half with the water to add the formula and the other half to cool. I’ve seen you’ve done 5 ounces in the rapid cool and only 2 ounce for the formula so now I’m confused what to do 😅😅😅 ( I’ve just upped his ounces from 4 to 5 he’s 10 weeks old and 13.5lbs)

Little advice, some formula use the ml instead of oz so maybe look at that as there is a slight difference, I didn’t realise this either, health visitor mentioned it to me xx

what size teat are you using on these bottles please? as I have the same and they come with size 3 but my baby finds the flow top fast at the moment, did you find that at first?

I was doing this way too, but I’m now unsure as it says on the mam website to never pour boiling hot water into the mam bottles as it can damage the bottles and also destroy the nutrients in the formula. First time mom too, and I always worry if I’m doing it right or wrong x

Thank you for this video. We tried it with our week old and it worked amazingly but after only using the rapid cool for a few days he’s gone back to being in pain with constipation and trapped wind again and I don’t know what to do 😫😫 xx

Everyone I know who used prep machine babys all had colic I used nuby as soon as my baby was born and she’s never had colic, reflux I think it’s the best!
