bigproooo, pls explain why this is wrong, I want ur opinion on this. The closer you go to failure = more mur despite fatigue. This is because to keep the weight moving, your body recruits higher threshold motor units. Therefore, involuntary slow reps (for example the ones close to failure) have more mur, but also more mechanical tension as each muscle fiber is producing a high amount of force output, making reps closer to failure even more hypertrophic. (despite this, I still think 1-2 rir is better cuz fatigue that lowers performance that goes into your future sets(

I don’t know how many rir I’m leaving cuz sometimes I’ll think the next rep is failure and end up doing two more so I just train to failure cuz it’s easier to mark and more fun imo
