I’ve been through this and I’m still with him but saving all my money to get my own place. I was 7 months pregnant when I found out and his mistress called his phone mins after my labor it broke me

When I hear these stories and especially pregnant wives, I am always reminded what I often hear.. that men do not view women as humans. More like objects. As I get older and I hear stories of wives cheat or husbands, hands down the most appalling stories are the male cheaters. The lack of thoughts and empathy and amount of gaslighting they do is astonishing. Almost like men think with one body part only with no regards to anything else. Statistics show that men cheat more but their stories much more appalling. We are like trophies to them. A warm body. Objects. This is why I fight so hard to talk to my college age girls to not focus on men and boyfriends and so what if all others have boyfriends. I keep telling them to develop themselves. education ,goals, learn a new language, travel, forge close friend as family relationships, careers and have this wonderful strong sense of self and love their lives enough that they do not need anyone at their side 24/7. But I also dont wamt them closed off either. I tell them that if it happens and they are an extension of your own wonderful life and make it just as good if not better, then go for it. but once that starts to slip...move on. I am sure there are good men out there amd perhsps evem the ones that have affairs are innately good people, but to lose your life amd identity over one is not worth it. I really hope they listen.
