When I was doing some training in death valley, we climbed to the top of a small plateau to rack out for the night. It snowed on us that night, and we were using all 3 of our sleeping bags to try to stay warm. I don't know what the temp was that night, but I know it hit 110 the next day.

My highschool science teacher showed us a film that said America was going to be washed away by erosion totally in 40,000 years. That statement always stuck with me. I think it will burn up before that with what is going on.
