in my experience it's not super uncommon for people to not swim at pool parties so you probably won't be the only one. long swimsuit cover up or palazzo pants w/rash guard or flowy cardigan for the top and just dangle your legs in the water or hang out on a chair nearby

I’m in the exact same boat and it’s so frustrating that people without sc4rs don’t even have to think about coordinating summer outfits around it/bathing suits. I would still go, but where whatever you’re comfortable with and just dip your feet in. And if people ask, tell them you just don’t really feel like getting in or you don’t want to get your hair wet. I wish they had a website where you could customize bathing suits based off where your sc4rs are, it would make life sm easier😔

u can alw just wear normal clothes and dip ur feet in or something. U can say u don’t wanna get ur hair wet or something or u just simply don’t feel like going in. U can also wear a mesh long sleeved shirt. It’s a bit more appropriate for the weather so u won’t have people asking questions. I have a few one has double material on the torso and the ones that don’t and are all the way see through i just wear a tank top underneath.

There's nothing wrong with people seeing your body whether it's scars or something else. If people have a problem with it then that's their issue not yours. It's also okay to feel uncomfortable about it. You can just tell them you don't like swimming or tell them you just got your hair done or something.

if people don't know you can swim saying you can't swim is easy but another one is saying you aren't comfortable swimming because something happened works too. nothing too dramatic like not some big traumatic incident but saying you had a little accident in the water and you're not comfortable in the water yet should work.
