Vista is tbh the most underrated windows, it was ahead of the time so that's why it was so unsuccessful as it was incompatible with 2007 technologies

Also had the issue of not being compatible with a lot of existing hardware. What they could have done is released a midway sub variant of Cl that basically had the newer HAL and multi threading but otherwise was XP. Would have solved a few issues. "Windows XPt" or something like that.
