Send this to your favorite people pleaser. ❤️ Someone asked me how I deal with judgmental and hateful comments. Here’s what I told them: 1. I don’t feed it. I try not to read every comment or give every opinion my attention. Feeding myself someone else’s negativity only creates negativity in me. 2. I choose compassion over offense. When people leave unsolicited advice or hateful opinions, I remind myself they may be projecting pain or a lack of control in their own life. 3. I remember we’re all human. There’s a Bible verse that talks about removing the log from your own eye before pointing out the speck in someone else’s. I make mistakes too, and so do the people criticizing me. 4. I focus on filling myself with love. When your heart is full, it’s much harder for hate to take root. I try to stay rooted in love instead of resentment. 5. I remember everyone has a cross to carry. If the people judging me had to carry my burdens, they might see things differently & if I had to carry theirs, I’d probably have more compassion too. 6. I come back to what I can control. I can’t control what people say about me. I can only control my attitude, my actions, and the kind of person I choose to be. 7. I remind myself that not everyone has to understand me. Peace comes when you stop trying to convince everyone to like you. The people meant for your life will see your heart. 🤍 Protect your peace. Love people anyway. Keep showing up.
