The idea of CC is amazing yes but what these videos dont add is how COMPETITIVE they are and most of the time they have 20-25 seats available.

Cc where I live is a joke. Yes it’s cheaper, but they only accept 10-12 students at a time. There’s a waiting list. If anything take your pre req’s at a cc and transfer those credits to a private institution. Had I continued in a cc I would’ve been accepted in to the program around 2027 or 2028. I decided to just go to the private institution and I’ll be graduating 2/26/28.

The CC in our area is lottery based. They had 5k applicants for 30 spots.

Yeah except my community college I wouldn’t have even been able to apply until 2027. They do applications once a year for only 25 students. I’ll be graduating with my bachelors in April 2027. Sometimes it’s worth it🤷🏻♀️

I got my ADN and then I went onto get my BSN and MSN while working full time and it was paid for by my employer. So much better. No student loans.❤️

CC would be the way to go if the nursing program wasn’t so competitive. Everyone makes it seem like it’s only two years, but they don’t include the time it takes to complete the prerequisites for the nursing program. Which can take between 1-2years because you wanna make sure that you score A’s on all of those prerequisite courses. So yeah, doing the nursing program through a CC is the way to go once you’re actually in the program.

The real secret is LPN to RN, high acceptance, financial stability during nursing school, skip CNA requirement.. 1 year LPN program then 1 year bridge program. Still the same time as going straight to RN

I’m doing an LPN 13 month program at a private institution 25,000, bridge program 15k at a university but probably can get tuition assistance from an employer working as an LPN..

I hate when people say this. This field is competitive. Who are you to say one will get those classes, and that schooling paid. Do what you can at a cc and transfer

I had advisor at a cc in my city straight up say to me youre more than likely not going to picked for our nursing program here because there better candidates academically, i dropped the classes she enrolled me in that same day. 😂 Why waste my time paying for classes just yo not getting into a nursing program?? Anyway I went to school online for medical coding after that.
