Even after working full time (37/hrs a week) as a Medical Receptionist I make around £1.8k/month. You getting £3.5k in universal credit alone is beyond wilderness to me

I work as a scientific engineer, I’ve got a BSc and a Masters. I pay high tax. This is upsetting more than you understand. People arnt mad at you they are frustrated that your earning similar to a GP after tax. We worked so hard to get established in our fields we reluctantly have to put our kids into childcare. We miss out on time with them and earn less. It’s an incredibly unfair system. 😢

3.5K per month?! what is the point in even working at this rate, that’s over 1.5K more than I get working full time!

I earn that money after two university degrees, one PhD, and one registration with a professional body, and working 10 hours a day. Something is not right with the system, however, I am not blaiming you! Good on you for being a good mum

3.5k makes me feel sick. I work my ass off for £1.5k a month as a TA, because it's the only job that fits around my kids...

This is not your issue this is an issue with the system. I work full time with two kids under 2, and I earn that much after being a professional and paying national insurance and 40% tax. My husband is self employed and we both pay in to the system. So this is upsetting for people like us, but it’s not your fault. It’s the system.

Not a hate comment but me and my partner don’t earn near that - both working? Might as well quit our jobs and split up at this rate

How do you get 3.5k a month when there's a benefit cap that's about half that?

I love this creator because she’s helping more people realise how out of control benefits are, and will push more to vote reform and sort the system out
