@therock: A short preamble and context before the BIG SURPRISE 💥 It really rocked me in the feels 🥹🥹 when my daughter hugged me and said “daddy I wish you could’ve experienced this when you were a kid” Her little soul being that attuned and empathetic made me emphasize to her and her sister… that ITS OK 👍🏾 because I’m experiencing it NOW.. with YOU and your sister.. and that’s what matters most. As men and fathers, our main WHY is always making sure that our kids grow up enjoying a life that was better than ours. my dad always used to tell me better late than ever. And it's amazing how you get to share this moment with your kids nothing beats that. I used to work at FAO Schwartz in downtown Chicago for almost a year and on days off I'd go there with my daughter she was probably only about three or four and when I got paid I would take her with me to the store and tell her to pick something out that she wanted that week and I would buy it for her and this is how we made going to FAO Schwartz sweet experience. I never even knew they existed as a kid. I'm glad we both got to share this experience with our children because it does make it all the more special.♥️🌻
