while I agree that OP has every right to be upset, you shouldn't be romantically involved with your sibling's/friend's ex unless they don't mind but telling the kids was just not right. OP has basically alienated her ex from them even if that wasn't her intention

NTA and I hope OP's ex works hard to earn the children's trust. Sister is so wrong because everyone knows friends and family's exes are always off the table, the only exception I would say are widows/widowers or with the knowledge and aproval of the person. Not only that but the ex must have known PP would react bad if they hid it from her and the kids. I was worried with word getting out OP would face shame, but instead everyone was supportive and that's good
