@fleschiahughes: It was immediate panic for the crowd and me. I muted the sound from the video for multiple reasons, the hit of the ball on that sweet boy, the cries he let out in between his gasp of air and the crowd that went silent after the reaction of the hit…. also you hear me in the background saying this is one of our biggest fears when he goes up to bat is if someone is in the direct path of his ball when it leaves the bat. Praise the lord he took it to the arm and not the chest, neck etc. Weston was a nervous wreck and went to fist bump him after he got up, and went and checked again on him after the game and the boy gave Weston a hug and told him he was alright. I will admit it brought tears to my mama eyes because this is what we want them to do. It’s more than baseball. 💙⚾️ praying for that sweet boy. I know his arm is so sore it had swelled up immediately.
