for god of war he is wrong. god of war laufey is just a part of the history. it does not replace anything . atreus could be getting his own story too without kratos

I think their only mistake was calling it GOW, people also hated the atreus parts. Making it a full spinoff with its own name would have helped alot

It depends of the franchise. - Ghost of Yotei is only the second entry in the series, new setting new story, so there's no problem at all. - Uncharted... meh... it would just be Tomb Raider... whose studios scratched quickly the idea of another protagonist. Remember Kurtis Trent ? Exactly. - Last of Us: it didn't work because the transition was bad. It worked with TellTale's The Walking Dead. - God of War ? No. Just, no.
