I actually recommend installing VCodeX instead of just CrossPoint. VCodeX includes all of CrossPoint's functionality, so you're not giving anything up. It's basically CrossPoint with a bunch of extra features focused on tracking and improving your reading experience.
One of my favorite additions is the reading tracker. It keeps track of your reading progress, total reading time, achievements, reading streaks, goals you've completed, and other reading statistics. It also has a daily reading calendar that color-codes each day based on how much you read, making it really easy to see your reading habits at a glance.
Another feature I love is the Reading Profile. It analyzes your reading habits and gives you scores for things like engagement, stability, and reading depth, along with an overall reading score. It also shows things like your most active reading day, how consistently you read throughout the week, and how substantial your reading sessions are, giving more weight to longer sessions.
To me, it's very similar to the reading insights you get on Kobo or Kindle. It makes reading feel a little more rewarding because you can actually see your progress over time, which helps keep you motivated.
On top of that, VCodex also gives you additional settings for things like date formats, syncing your reading data, time zones, reading reminders, and other quality-of-life features. So, in my opinion, if you're already planning to install CrossPoint, you might as well install VCodeX instead since it's essentially CrossPoint with a much richer set of features.
