I stayed in omonia, stay in a group, keep moving if you’re on the street and as long as you’re somewhat street smart you’re totally safe

I’m an American living in Athens for 4 years. Omonia is absolutely nothing compared to major cities in the states. I still feel super safe walking in Omonia. I shop at Hondos, Zara, get my nails done there. Not scary in the slightest bit. There are a few homeless people, have never once felt threatened by them. Guess I’m lucky
