THE COST OF GETTING AHEAD | EP. 02: I Paid Off Six Figures of Debt. Now Where’s My Peace? Everybody tells you to just keep going. Keep working. Keep saving. Keep paying off debt. Keep investing. Keep making sacrifices because eventually, all that hard work is supposed to pay off. And they’re not wrong. But what happens when you’ve been going for YEARS and you haven’t had a chance to enjoy what you’ve worked for? I worked multiple jobs, paid off six figures of debt, made some major financial sacrifices, and completely changed the trajectory of my life. And I’m proud of every damn bit of it. But somewhere between getting out of debt, building wealth, buying properties, and creating additional streams of income, I realized something: financial progress doesn’t automatically come with peace. Sometimes getting ahead financially means taking on responsibilities you never had before. More assets to manage. More decisions to make. More opportunities to consider. More money coming in, but a whole lot more demanding your attention. And the crazy part? I don’t regret doing any of it. Because I remember exactly what it felt like to have limited options, to be financially stretched, and to work my ass off just to get back to zero. So yes, I’m going to just keep going. But I’m also learning that continuing to build wealth doesn’t have to mean constantly operating at full capacity. The goal isn’t to spend the rest of my life working harder just because I know how. The goal is to eventually have enough financial freedom to choose when I DON’T want to work. If you’re in your debt payoff era, your rebuilding era, or your wealth-building era, don’t confuse being exhausted with being unsuccessful. Just make sure the life you’re building is one you’ll actually have time to enjoy. And if nobody has told you lately, give yourself some credit for how far you’ve come. Then figure out what your next move actually needs to be. What’s been harder for you: getting your finances together or learning when to stop pushing? #JustKeepGoing #DebtFreeJourney #BuildingWealth #TikTokCreatorSearchInsightsIncentive #justgottakeepgoing
