@philippinestar: The Senate of the Philippines website has listed Senator Sherwin Gatchalian as Senate president pro tempore, while Senator Alan Peter Cayetano's designation as Senate president is no longer reflected on the site. The update came after a dramatic Senate plenary session on Wednesday that resulted in a leadership reorganization. Following two days without a formal session, senators declared all key positions vacant, paving the way for the election of new officers. Gatchalian was subsequently elected Senate president pro tempore and assumed the role of presiding officer.
