"The Boy and the Heron" in Japanese is basically "How Do You Live?". For a movie that's really abstract, the title adds a fair bit of context to what to take away from the film. I'm sad that one especially got changed so much.

The german title for “spirited away” is “Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland” in English its then “Chihiro’s Journey to the magical realm” 🙃

Have you seen the Japanese title for the Pixar movie hoppers? It was in my Japanese teacher’s classroom, i can’t remember what the title was but if I remember correctly it basically translated to “the time I was transformed into a beaver” or something like that
