I understand charity shops are to make money for the charity but if you’re charging the same as an actual retail shop what’s the point

charity shops think they can charge eBay/vinted prices but the internet has more traffic and they have a small footfall in a local town. don't know what they expect

I don’t know why more places don’t throw the fast fashion in a £1 bin.

Charity shops are dying because they're asking for higher than retail for donated goods.
They're not going to raise money for charity when people are refusing to pay rip off prices

If it's nice, people will sell on Vinted. If it's rubbish or a cheap brand, it goes to a chaza shop - then they try to sell it for £8!

Charity shops exists to make money for charities I agree but a byproduct of that IS cheap prices. That is their USP! They would not get people through the doors if they were more expensive as we are clearly seeing now

Prices are no longer accessible. I found a really nice dress, it was £40 😩 I thought it was a mistake so I asked at the till and they were making me feel bad. Even £10 is pricey but that would at least be a profit. I really do think the fast fashion donation issue is a real issue!!! I miss finding 80s beaded jackets and unique pieces x

It’s their pricing. They are trying to charge online prices and sometimes more than online. Drop the prices and they will shift more stock

They get everything for FREE. Even if they make 50p its profit! They should just sell stacks of stuff at 50p £1 it will add up. I walk inland just say "I'm not paying that.."
