EV has very less moving parts. Rule of thumb in mechanical engineering is less moving parts equals more reliability. EVs will be good for 50-100 years easy with just replacing the batteries.

My assessment: this is new tech and battery is developing/changing constantly. It’s basically Like a washing machine / fridge… use and throw. By the time you need a new motor/compressor for washing machine/fridge it’s outdated and unavailable so you are forced to buy a new one.
