very simple things to follow to avoid microsleep 1. minimum 6 hours 30min of sleep the night before MINIMUM, 2. No heavy lunch or sugary drinks before a long drive. my job involves alot of travel, I do day trips to Penang and JB from PJ from time to time. I always apply the rule above.

ADAS & Lane Assist must be able to detect the line along the road. Sometimes kampung roads the line are worn off.

he probably busy to understand the systems on infotainment display..to adjust the aircond in x50 quite hard using touchscreen for example..

hi bobo, if your dad is dozing off/microsleep do get him check out for sleep apnea, specifically obstructive sleep apnea. if you need a sleep test done before bringing the result to your family doctor do let me know, i can hook it up for you

I don't think lane keep assist would've helped here. At least judging from the grainy video the lines on the road are hardly visible. Regardless, condolences to the family.

adjusting the aircon and other things using the big screen infotainment in the middle of the dashboard can be very distracting especially for those who are new to it

I just want to call awareness to the fact that many many comments on videos like this one openly admit to being distracted by the larg displays or not knowing how to do something pls learn how to use your car before you drive you may have driven for decades but you may not know car features set everything up before leaving or stop the car at your earliest convenience in a safe place changing a song or adjustment of the AC is not worth risking the lives of those in your car and those around you

Some lane keep couldn't detect road lines. Then car may steer elsewhere if you are not alert.

maybe just a silly question. Could it be that the car is already within the wrong side of the road and the lane keep assist tries to keep the car in the wrong lane?

I turn these things ON only when I felt sleepy. I have to applaud the Leapmotor B10, whereby after I turned off everything, it detected me yawning once and turned everything back ON

not gonna lie, driver awareness alert had saved me a lot coz nowadays everything is thru the center screen and for me is the only screen and control so it does helps! and yes dont over occupied the car! the max occupant is how many seatbelts your car has, RIP, but just curious at this point is 5star safety rating really relevant?

I love all the safety features in my car. That is why i got it. If anyone feels annoyed on the safety features, maybe that is not the best car for you. That aside, my condolences to the family involved in the accident.
