@princeofpeckham: Today, we were honoured to welcome Prince William to Prince of Peckham. The visit was an opportunity to share the community work happening inside our pub and introduce him to Chatty Patty ; the pub's very own community initiative, designed to bring people together through conversation, belonging, and connection. Founded by Clement Ogbonnaya, Prince of Peckham was built on a simple belief: pubs should be more than places people come to drink. They should be a home away from home, places where people feel welcome, connected, and that they belong. Prince William spoke about growing up around pubs and spent time learning about the role Prince of Peckham plays within the local community. He also joined a Chatty Patty session, meeting attendees and hearing first-hand how something as simple as having a regular place to go, familiar faces to see, and a welcoming environment can make a meaningful difference in people's lives. What makes this moment even more special is that Chatty Patty only launched 12 weeks ago. What started as a simple idea is now sparking conversations about the future role of hospitality in Britain.As community spaces continue to disappear across the country, we're proud to be exploring what the modern pub can be.
