Here is another sneaky part, they start including all sorts of extras , just to jack up the price . I was helping a friend with this and I saw on the OTP that they where charging here for metallic paint, but the car is Matte, also the price they change for Smash and grab is rubbish , worse sometimes they charge extra for things that are already there and this is not a brand new car.

The best solution to this quanandrum is to apply for a loan equivalent to the car u want to buy directly to the bank, then take that approval to the dealership of your choice. In that case u r able to negotiate the interest rate directly with the bank. In simple words, do not include the dealership in the financing process

I was nearly robbed by dealership for hundreds thousands. Dealership said the car is R502000 but to the banks said the price is R680000 and added balloon on top. By the grace of God I saw it and cancel the deal immediately before it was finalized

I wanted a brand new grand i10 ,the sales person came back and said only one bank approved me with an interest rate of 15% toped up with a balloon payment for 72 months,mind you my credit score is 685.can I still go approach banks by myself at this stage?will it affect my credit score if I do so?

This is the process I followed when financing my car, and it worked well for me.

There's no law that compels dealerships to share podiums and most customers do not even care about the podium. The fact that you're applying through the dealership means you're giving it power to act on your behalf and to negotiate for you. The information you're relaying here is not "investigation" it's public information that's available. 1. No one stops or hinders anyone from applying for finance themselves. There's many customers that do self finance 2. Dealerships always negotiate to the best interest of customer. 3. Customers know of Dealer Incentive Commission and that's a bank and dealership relationship and doesn't in any way prejudice the customer. 4. A deal structure has nothing to do with a podium but you can see a deal structure on the quotation. Customers must not be fooled or misled into taking personal loans to purchase cars becuase they'll drown in HIGH INTEREST

People should also know that any car, house or personal loan is already paid off the day it's approved through your birth certificate trust fund. Then the bank makes you pay again over a set term.
