When you love someone or either loved you’ll still like anything about them, saying “missing the old ariana the depressed one” is like putting all Ariana was and is in the simple concept of a moment of her life. “liking back when she was depressed” no one liked seeing her suffering as a whole fandom(I hope) so don’t put her whole younger self character only into a single thing, she did great things during those ages.

I forgot which interview she did but she broke a really big record in that era. So the interviewer surprised her with a cake to celebrate and she was like “yep🙂”. I remember being so sad that she was in such a dark headspace
