good to see farmers looking after their land fences and hedges. in my experience the worst is the electric fencing that horsey women put up to divide their paddocks temporarily. fallow bucks in particular are inquisitive little devils and they will thrash the fencing with their antlers just like they would a tree and they get hooked up and I've actually dealt with deer that have started to eat electric fence in itself well of course they they can't regurgitate these things so they just keep eating it and eating it and it gets done in the stomach and it kills them very slowly stop having counted many deer with plastic bags in this stomach and what happens is the fecal matter in the main stomach sort of gets in the bag and then of course it can't get out so it just sits there and it calcifies so eventually that will kill them as well but this particular one he wasn't showing any signs of being ill but I'm sure he was very uncomfortable with this Tesco's bag full of stuff in your stomach. another thing the deer in particular fallow bucks do is when kids make swings in the woods so they've got those bits of string or rope and they have seats at the bottom and the fellow bugs will play with a string and then if they're unfortunate they get they get hooked up in it which doesn't take much though to be honest does it because they've got all those tines. yes I've been counted many deer hooked up on swings which is eventually killed them. the worst one I had to deal with was a fallow buck which was caught in some tennis netting like this tennis court had high nets all the way around the outside so they were losing the ball time and this gear had got poured up in it and what he was doing was getting frustrated and running up and down the full length of the tens court and then what he would do of course he's get to the end and it was suddenly stop and it would flip him up in the air and he'd land on his back well that's what he'd been doing you could see because because of the footprints on the floor. needless to say it was a good job that we put him down because when I did a post mortem on him his liver was absolutely was shattered from his actions, such a shame
