@phoenixpathway: Your Personal Growth Has Become His Maintenance Plan Being the most emotionally developed person in the relationship is not a badge of honor it is exhausting. Every new communication skill or boundary tool you learn is being used to manage his limitations instead of changing the dynamic. He never has to expand his emotional range because your growth automatically covers the distance. Stop measuring progress by how well you handle his inadequacies and start looking at whether he has changed at all. #relationshipadvice #datingtipsforwomen #feminineenergy #knowyourworth

"a fluency in his limitations that eventually stops being distinguishable" I feel like you have SUCH a way with words in this context that you need to publish a book. it's all so much easier to understand when you explain it. thank you.

Now listen. I’m gonna start thinking you’ve got some direct line to my brain. Sometimes things come into your life when you need the mirror the most! Excellent stuff!! ✨

thank you for another great TikTok therapy walk 🫶 you truly have a way with words and you're so right about the growth & distance. I can't even explain how helpful you've been in understanding myself and my situation... it's truly helping me keep my head straight!

I did so much work on myself and on healthy communication: Therapy, reading about 4F trauma responses, learning about Attachment styles and the Karpman Drama Triangle. I even knew more about his ADHD (and how to manage it) than he did. You're so right, it did feel like improvement of some kind even though he wasn't actually working on himself!

I actually learned a lot of emotional maturity from him. Yet, he never caught up with me on motivation. Getting Things Done in life. Taking care of the home. Taking care of his body. I’m distanced and pooped.

This! Is what I live. I voice feelings he gets defensive, makes whatever happened as my fault so I adjust.

The things being managed haven't changed, and I'm realizing I'm too scared to change the situation.

Is it normal that as I grow he’s actually getting worse? Blaming me for things that’s aren’t even reasonable. Watching me with resentment. But if I ask what’s wrong or what I can do for him he flies off the handle with an anger I don’t understand.. it feels like an escalating pattern
