@bayouboyz7: the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the broader U.S. electrical industry are facing a massive shortage of electricians. Projections suggest hundreds of thousands of new electricians will be needed to keep pace with demand. The shortage is driven by several key factors:The AI and Data Center Boom: The massive wave of new data centers has created unprecedented demand for complex commercial work, causing some tech giants to classify the electrician deficit as a critical bottleneck.Mass Retirements: Approximately 20,000 electricians retire each year, and roughly 30% of union electricians are currently between the ages of 50 and 70. #union #electricians #ibew #construction #pay
Became an IBEW apprentice 34.3 years ago starting at 6.66 an hour with benefits and the start of a pension.Happy to have retired at 59 years old.life is good, don’t care what time it is or what day it is.Wouldn’t change anything if I could. Thanks to all my brothers and sisters of the IBEW.

He had to take a test to see what his skill level is, so maybe he needed a little bit of training.

Thats sad. My daughter just turned 16 and works at Braums and she’s making $16/hr and gets OT. Shes worked there for 6 months and they just made her a manager over the ice cream dept. so this is just fucking crazy. Thats sad as hell.
