@compass.acres: Here’s my why! 👇🏼👇🏼 One of the questions I get a lot is why I mulch first and then plant my marigolds. The answer is simple: it saves a TON of time. When you’re planting hundreds of marigolds (450+ this year 😅), it’s so much easier to spread mulch first. I can dump a wheelbarrow load, spread it out quickly, and then make small holes exactly where I want each plant. If I planted first, I’d have to carefully mulch around every single marigold without burying or breaking them. That’s a lot of extra work for the same result. Gardening doesn’t always have to be harder than it needs to be. Sometimes a small change in the order you do things can save hours of work! Do you mulch before planting or after? 🌼👇🏼 #compassacres #gardendesign #diygarden #gardeningtips #gardeninspiration
