@isabella.brown082: Things I wish I knew before going to China🇨🇳 Traveling to China? Here are some essential tips! 🌏 First, make sure to set up Alipay and WeChat before you arrive—cash is almost obsolete here! Also, don’t rely on Google Maps; download Amap or Baidu Maps for navigation. And remember, power banks need a CCC label to pass security checks. Preparation is key to enjoying this incredible country without feeling overwhelmed! #TravelTips #China #Alipay #WeChat #Amap

Not totally true...
Transactions using WeChat and AliPay do not always have a 3% foreign fee... depends on the merchant. That said, it's always advisable to have some RMB cash on hand for smaller purchases and for local merchants who only take cash.
Power bank restrictions without CCC label depend on if stored in checked luggage or carry-on luggage.
Creator should research and post complete details.

I'd recommend getting a local Sim to use food apps like Meituan. Saves a lot of time searching for meals.

A-Map can verify with foreign number and while in china, you can use the e-hail function to call a ride to reach the searched destination which is generally cheaper than using didi. You pay after the ride is over as well, so any payment option works.

My powerbank was seized by the Security control in China because I didn’t have CCC mark so I bought another one from store inside the airport. 😂
