A little boy in my preschool class found out it was my birthday, and worked all week putting together my present and wrapping it himself (it was wrapped in a coloring sheet and he made a bow out of a metallic gold pipe cleaner 😭). When I opened it up I immediately recognized the Lego’s. They’re one of the at home toys he sometimes brings them from home (in various configurations), and he decided to make it into something for me 😭. He was absolutely BEAMING when I opened it. “You got me Lego’s?!?!” Him: 😁😁”yeah. It’s a fire truck!” When I texted his mom thanking her, she said she’d attempted to gently steer him towards a cute option like “she might want something different. Maybe a heart or something?” He said “No. She’d want a firetruck.” 😂 and now it’s on display in my house.
