I have heds and my theory is we don’t actually get constipated in the general sense. This is going to be weird, but hear me out. I always had issues completing a bowel movement and around 11 yrs I couldn’t at all. My mother told me to wrap my fingers in tp and put pressure on my perineum and that is the only way I can complete a bowel movement. Because of the over stretched tissue it’s like it creates a pocket and making it impossible for those muscles to work properly.

I mean those with the diarrhea predominant get used to it and just kinda exist with it while constipation can cause actual problems so I don’t think it necessarily says anything about whether one is more prevalent than the other either (personal testimony)
