@becomewithcharis: If you keep trying to lose weight fast for the summer and you keep failing… let me be your sign to try a different way. Because it might be tempting to transform in 1 month, but it’s far more likely that it’ll take longer than that. And you have to be okay with that Ask yourself why you even want to lose weight as fast as possible anyway? It’s not a race and I would rather keep my cycle, sanity, muscle, and hair. Plus it’s a lot easier to stick to it long term and actually lose all the weight when you’re not quickly burning yourself out, feeling exhausted and miserable because you aren’t eating enough and restricting the food you love. This is my progress over the course of one year, with 2 under 2 (now two toddlers) in tow and whilst breastfeeding my youngest. I started at 3.5 months postpartum: a daily calorie deficit range of 200-500 calories below maintenance, an aim of 7k+ steps per day, 2L of water, and if I had a bad day or an off moment I wouldn’t say “I’ll start again on Monday”, I would just start by making the next good decision I could. Consistency > intensity. All-or-something > all-or-nothing 💛
