I do understand where you’re coming from about how it can come across as degrading and dehumanizing. However, I think it’s wrong to assume that the Chinese woman doesn’t see her as human, and some of your “facts” are inaccurate. It’s not entirely forbidden for people in China to touch each other, that’s misinformation. There are cultural differences and certain boundaries, but that doesn’t mean physical contact isn’t allowed. Compared to Western norms, standards around physical touch in many parts of Asia are simply different. As for the Natasha doll, there have actually been Chinese people who have spoken out against the trend. It honestly feels like you’re generalizing and stereotyping, as if all Chinese people support or participate in it, instead of recognizing that there are differing perspectives.
