The late Abdul Ahad Mohmand; the Afghan hero who, from the heights of space, illuminated the name of Pashto, Afghanistan, and the Islamic world. In the modern history of Afghanistan, one of the greatest figures of science, technology, and national pride was the late Abdul Ahad Mohmand. He was not only the first Afghan astronaut, but also counted among the first astronauts of the Islamic world who became part of humanity's greatest scientific journey-human spaceflight. The late Abdul Ahad Mohmand traveled to space on August 29, 1988, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome of the Soviet Union aboard the Soyuz TM-6 spacecraft. He was the first citizen of Afghanistan and the fourth Muslim astronaut in the world to leave Earth's gravity, representing his country in this major milestone of human scientific achievement. One of the historical aspects of his space journey was that he took a copy of the Holy Quran with him into space. This act was not only a reflection of his Islamic faith, but also conveyed the message that knowledge, faith, and progress are not in conflict, but rather complement one another. During his space mission, Mohmand had direct communications with the then-President of Afghanistan, Dr. Najibullah. An even more important and emotional moment was when he spoke with his mother in Pashto from space. This was a historic moment for Afghanistan and the Pashto language, as it was the first time the voice of Pashto was transmitted from space. During his eight-day space mission, the late Abdul Ahad Mohmand conducted numerous scientific experiments related to Earth's environment, meteorology, medicine, biology, and space technology. He also took photographs of Afghanistan from space, which were considered valuable for studying the country's geography and natural resources. His life and achievements taught Afghans that the people of this land are capable of talent, knowledge, and global success. He proved that an Afghan can go beyond the limits of Earth and become part of humanity's scientific progress. The late Abdul Ahad Mohmand was not just an astronaut; he was a symbol of pride for Afghanistan, the Pashtun people, the Islamic world, and lovers of science. His name will forever remain in the history of Afghanistan as the person who carried the voice of his country, his mother, and his language from the heights of space to the world, showing that Afghans can also have their place among the stars. May Almighty Allah forgive the late Abdul Ahad Mohmand and grant him Jannat al-Firdaws. His memory and services will always remain alive in the memory of the Afghan people. #growthchallenge #tiktoknew #afghanistan #nasa #unfreezemyaccount
