You can move the standoff for it and if it still don’t work then you can just tape it down it something just something with pressure for it to work cause any movement can not the ssd out from reading

The screw isn’t strictly necessary, but that was a screw hole, you’re supposed to move the screw from the standard hole

Of course it's gonna work. An SSD is an SSD, whether it's from a laptop, mini PC, or desktop. The only real downside is the size and form factor. You can't fit a large SSD where only a much smaller one is meant to go, but if it fits and uses the right connector, it'll work.
