A lot of people just need to go to therapy work through the religious trauma and keep that off the internet. Holding so much emotional baggage to the point of self-identification cannot be healthy. Move on, heal, grow. And yes broader point about words mattering and the context of islamophobia 100%

That’s their identity. I have never seen a person after a breakup still introduce himself as Linda’s ex-husband. They know it’s easy to grift by saying they’re ex-Muslim. The majority of them were not Muslim. They get caught easily. There is a guy who got caught by posting Prophet’s mosque as the Kabba. There is a Hindu girl on TikTok who claims she’s ex-Muslim.
