I had a strategy. I had psychology books on the shelf. I was trying to do too much at once and none of it was sticking. So I broke it down. I mastered market structure before I ever tried to guess direction. I sat with charts and read structure until I could see it without thinking. No trades. Just reading. #Then I mastered reading direction. Where is this market actually trying to go. Not where I want it to go. Where it's trying to. I worked on that alone until I could write the answer in one sentence on any chart I opened. Then I mastered spotting entries. Not taking them. Spotting them. Marking them. Knowing what a good one looked like before I had any money on the line. Then I mastered taking those entries with no money on the line at all. Demo. Paper. Whatever. Just the action of pulling the trigger when the setup was there, and not pulling it when it wasn't. Then I mastered consistent stop loss and take profit rules. Same exit logic every trade. Same place every time. Before I bought a funded account. Before a single real cent was at risk. Then I mastered trading the strategy with tiny risk. Over and over. The same five things, every day, until they ran without me. Then I repeated the whole process at a higher level. I never once practised psychology. I didn't read a mindset book in those four years. The psychology was the natural outcome of the right process. The anxiety I'd had at 35 wasn't a mental problem. It was the natural response to not knowing what I was doing. Once I knew, there was nothing left to be anxious about. Most traders try to learn everything at once and end up with nothing they can rely on. I learned one thing, made it second nature, then added the next. By the time the stack was built, the discipline wasn't a fight. It was the only way I knew how to trade. Comment FIX and I'll hop on a free 1-1 call to show you the exact path. #mentaltrading #tradepsychology #tradingcoach #tradingpsychology
