I don’t understand why this is such a big issue. Everyone should be able to celebrate their special events however they want. I think the bigger problem in our community is the constant comparison and competition. If your friend can afford a big graduation party, that doesn’t mean you have to do the same. People should be free to celebrate their milestones in a way that makes them happy. Guests are invited to share in their joy and celebrate with them, not to judge how they choose to do it.
