My mom bought a ceiling fan/light for their master bedroom. They lived in that house for almost twenty years. It never went up. They lost their house the same week my husband and I bought ours. We snagged the light and my husband put it up the first week we were there. I invited my parents over to play cards under that ceiling fan. 😁😅 I pointed it out and everything. My mom was "happy for me" but my dad was *livid* and I've never laughed harder.

my dad once didn’t connect the dishwasher at our house for 10 years. he never cleaned dishes either. I now am an adult and I realised how easy it was to do, and that he truly didn’t do it as a method of control and pettiness. he now lives in an RV with his bird and I don’t talk to him

I asked my husband not to buy anything for the backyard unless he’s ready to use it…. Tell me why we have a Costco playset, a gazebo, picnic tables, all new in the box and tons of bark chips still in the bag…. Been in the backyard for two years. Our oldest child outgrew the weight limit on the playset. I bought one myself from Amazon and it’s already together in the backyard. They love it.

My parents built a house together when I was born. Their master bathroom was still unfinished when I moved out. My dad finally completed it when they sold it and my mom was upset to finally see her house finished just in time to leave it.

I said we didn't have enough celery or carrots for a meal I was starting to make. He asked if we needed more and I said yes. He then took his snack of chips to the living and sat down to eat it while I'm prepping to cook with the little we had. I had to ASK HIM TO GO otherwise I was going. Delayed dinner by another 30 minutes.

The kids toilet broke, the little flushing button ddnt work, after 6 weeks of asking, I opened it up saw what was broken, googled what to do, told him what I thought was the problem and that I’ll go buy the broken part, immediately he called the plumber, who was there in 10mins and said the same thing I said. And he had to pay him.
