The local feed store charges more cuz its meal worms, and meal worms take such much more effort to reproduce. Meal sorns also aren’t as nutritionally balanced and good for chickens as BSF. So BSF is cheaper and nutritionally better. Feed stores are behind! Even tractor supply sales a 5lb bag of BSF and meal worm mix for MORE than these 10lb boxes of BSF from TikTok. Life rarely works out this way, but I love it for us!
