OK, but here’s a few different way of looking at this. Mary Pierce has the resources that most people don’t have which means she has resources for a dietitian and nutritionist several personal trainers and anything else that she needs. I for one don’t believe that anyone should be body shamed especially someone who was was once a top athlete however let’s not act like she didn’t have the resources to at least closely maintain what she was before if she chose to.

This is incredibly ridiculous. I just looked up the recent photos of her and she looks very elegant and not by any means morbidly obese. Which even if she was, is nobody's business.

I always gave Mary so much credit. Her father was extremely abusive when she was a young g player. I believe she banned him from being at all her meets. She was a lovely person 💝🎾🎾🎾🎾

She's 51 now. The expectation that she will look like she did (or very close) when she won the French Open at 25 is wild. She also had an incredibly controlling father/manager for her developmental years and most of her pro career - that kind of diet restriction and heavy training can rebound in unpredictable ways during perimenopause. Her career can stand on its own without needing commentary on her appearance.
