1. Before becoming a CNA, I didn’t know that what a resident DOESN’T do can be just as important as what they do. Not eating, not talking, or not getting out of bed can be a warning sign. 2. Before becoming a CNA, I wish I knew that being a great CNA has very little to do with being the fastest person on the floor. The CNAs who last are the ones who can prioritize, stay calm under pressure, and catch changes in residents early.
