Cabbage soup and juicing are carrying me through my third postpartum, and I’m not exaggerating… I posted this on Threads and it did 17K+ views in a day, so I’m bringing it here too. Third baby, third c-section, breastfeeding on demand and this is the first time I’ve felt like my body was actually healing instead of just surviving. The bloating, the fatigue, the heaviness that nobody warns you about… this is what finally moved the needle for me. Here’s the month-by-month formula MONTH 1 — Gentle everything. Light walking, lots of warm fluids, early lymphatic massage, and no caffeine (I know, I know). MONTH 2 — Gentle pelvic floor exercises, more lymphatic massage, cabbage soup daily, staying on the fluids, and more walking. MONTH 3–4 — Light weights, full-on pelvic floor work, protein and fiber way up, cabbage soup a few times a week, and at least 1–2 lymphatic massages. MONTH 5 — Juicing (so much celery), returning to workouts as tolerated, and eating for fiber, healthy fats, probiotics and anti-inflammatory foods. I’ll report back on how month 6 goes 🤍 And yes, I’m a pelvic floor therapist. But this is my personal journey, not medical advice. Your body, your birth, your recovery timeline. If you’re dealing with diastasis recti, leaking, pain with sex, heaviness or pressure, please go see a pelvic floor PT. You do not have to just live with it. Save this one for your fourth trimester and send it to a mama who needs it What month postpartum are you in? #postpartumrecovery #csectionrecovery #pelvicfloor #pelvicfloortherapy
