Well in order for something with mass to reach light speed you would need infinite energy which isn’t available even in the entire universe, however let’s say we were able to build something ” close ” to the speed of light , this would then technically shorten the distance between you and the destination ( let’s say it was the andromeda galaxy ) if you reach there something interesting happens on your way back to earth , let’s say you use this device and go back to earth at that exact speed you went there , here on earth around 4 million years would have passes meaning that you technically ”lived” for 4 million years , quite interesting indeed
