I see people keep saying eugenics is only implemented systematically and by governments and when you google eugenics this is literally the first thing that pops up: “a set of pseudoscientific beliefs and practices aimed at improving the genetic quality of a human population” I’m genuinely terrified how quickly “progressives” will spread misinformation about eugenics without even doing a simple google search. I’m scared and disappointed

Im trying to explain that to a comment section now that they are literally allowing abortion to be weaponized by these eugenics groups but they won’t listen. It’s “oh well having a disabled kid cost a lot of money, time, and effort” everytime. It’s crazy because having a kid in general takes a lot of money, time , and effort so that’s not unique to disabled kids

As a developmentally disabled person who gets HCBS care (so you know it’s substantial) they don’t f#cking live our lives yet they tell us what our suffering is and the gag is most of them don’t even interact with us they interact with our families (who are the ones that push the suffering narrative) cause god forbid they listen to an actually substantially developmentally disabled person… Then they would have to interact with us and lord KNOWS they don’t wanna. On the other end, all of my DD peers are so deeply hurt by the outcomes of this viewpoint any pro-choice narrative they have learned to view as a f#cking dog whistle. (Censored cause I don’t want TikTok to mark my comment as potentially offensive).
